In Memoriam

We're ALWAYS here for you

"Hey, hope all of you survived the blizzard of last Wednesday (2/2/2011), and are now in recovery. Believe it or not, Portage Park Animal Hospital & Dental Clinic was open. We had regular hours, 8-8 on that fateful day.

Although many clients canceled, we were the immediate care center for pets on the north side of Chicago, as most veterinary practices were closed. Between shoveling snow, answering the phone, and seeing patients, we were there for you. After an exhausting morning Mucho Gusto, a local restaurant, even brought us some burritos to recharge our batteries.

This snow storm was yet another reminder that when in crisis, our community came together to get the job done. Since 1985, we at PPAH never missed a scheduled day for any weather emergency, and we will continue to stay open for you in the future.

Thank you all for your support!"

Season for Giving

Every year our staff comes together to donate to a pet rescue or organization in need. This year we presented our donations to "The Buddy Foundation” http://thebuddyfoundation.sc102.info/. Our staff has donated funds of which every dollar was matched by Dr. Schrock, our generous practice owner. We have also reached out to our vendors - Merial, Pfizer, Novartis, Intervet, Hill’s and Royal Canin - who donated some much needed supplies and pet food!

We have successfully managed to raise over $5600 in funds and products for "The Buddy Foundation" between our staff donations and donations from our vendors!

Donations were delivered to the rescue by Kelly and Julita this New Year’s weekend. Check out the photos:
